LC Schools Common Reopening Plan

On Wednesday, the Logan County School districts, including: Bellefontaine City, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, and Riverside Local, in collaboration with the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, the Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and the Logan County Health Department, finalized a plan for the reopening of schools for the 2020-2021 school year.

Together, the county believes that our schools provide the best and most effective learning environments for the students of Logan County. Therefore, the Logan County Schools Common Reopening Plan Agreement provides a framework for allowing students to return to the buildings for face-to-face instruction, five days per week while, to the furthest extent possible, adhering to the guidelines provided by the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Health.

Now that this framework is in place, each Logan County district will develop more detailed plans to operate within these parameters. The purpose of the countywide plan is to inform parents of safety protocols that will be in place for the start of school during the COVID-19 pandemic or until new guidance regarding school operations is released. More information from Benjamin Logan Schools Superintendent, John Scheu, will be released to district stakeholders in the next few days.
